Private party

The elegant, old world-style private dining room (or function room, as we call it here) of restaurateur Larry J. Cruz's Filipino restaurant Abe (ah-beh), named after his father Aguilar. The rest of the restaurant uses more modern wood, rattan and fabric chairs. No photos of the food this time (Jacob and Marley, you can rest easy now—I don't want you gaining weight because of me) but I do want to say that it's very, very good. Forget the diet if you ever have the chance to eat at Abe—some of their best dishes are deep fried or feature pork veined with fat (melt-in-your-mouth delicious!).

It looks like a corporate dining room for executives. Beautiful wood.

I love the warm detailed door and side table! The walnut colored chair are sweet, too! Why don't we have a CDP blogger party there?!

I like. And while you didn't show any photos of food, you went on and on in delicious and specific detail about the "deep fried or feature pork veined with fat." Sheesh. I have a heck of an imagination so don't need photos when you talk like that! ;-)

And because it doesn't look like I'll eat at Abe's anytime soon, I signing off. See you at the refrigerator!

This is a great blog you have here! I have a travel blog myself which I hope it to be one of the top resources for those looking for experiences and advice on popular vacation destinations.

I'd like us to do a link exchange to help spread some traffic around to each other. This message is copied/pasted to save time, but I look at each site I submit a comment to.

Please let me know if this is possible.

It looks like a place with great atmosphere. And there you go talking "fried foods" to us again. Stop teasing us!

How exquisite the carvings and etchings on the furniture, and the door, too!

P.S. So disappointed with the Parade, there was a large crowd and I did not get choice seats. Besides, there was no great lighting! It was best watching in front of the TV. I will try other avenues next year!

A very elegant place, it looks like an upscale house, but a little more impersonal. You have yor way with words even without pictures of the food...

I like the door and the flower (plant?).The dining room looks elegant.

I'm imagining the food...need to watch out my diet...whoa! pork..pork...pork..I am hypertensive, need to cut on meat.

Indeed it does look elegant. «Louis» wanted to go put on a suit and tie just to look at the photo!

Looks nice - although I don't think the style of cuisine is for me!

hi hilda, the place looks very pricey and elegant... the sound of melt in your mouth food even w/o the picture...making me hungry already. ^-^

I'm trying to get caught up from being out of pocket for a few days. This dining room looks as wonderful as you say the dishes are. I really like the lighted bookstore at night, and it looks as if the Masquerade party was a huge success.
