Formal Mini

It's not everyday that I see a Mini Cooper on the streets of Manila either. Don't you think that it complements last week's party pug so well? It's not surprising because they're owned by the same person. These two photos were from last year's Ateneo de Manila University's sesquicentennial launch in Intramuros and I had forgotten about them until I decided to organize my files two weekends ago. The Mini Cooper was part of the classic car motorcade but came late and wasn't parked in front of the Manila Cathedral. I remember that I didn't include it in my post about the classic cars because its orientation vis-à-vis the street was different. (Yes, I admit that I can be O-C about stuff like that.)

A lovely restoration! And lucky me, I get to see a Mini, albeit a newer one, in my drive-way every day -:)

I must have missed your post about the classic cars. So I went back and checked it out too. Love the cars, including the Mini. The new Mini is one of my favorite cars in the city.

I hope you'll feel better by tom. Sleep well po.

We've had three minis, a pickup, a traveller and a clubman, but with two boys chewing their knees in the back seat, had to change to something more family friendly. Nice shot of this one - none of ours were this smart!

This was a very popular car here time ago, I'm not sure if there are still some around...

Here they're rather common... And often come with the British flag painted on the roof! :) Maybe 'cause it hails from there...
God bless you!

This a beautiful car and by all appearances in mint condition. Nice find.

As B would say "it's the original mini!" We have this bet going on about who spots the most originals...but I forget what the bet was about. Really love your compositions!
