The richly elaborate mural covers one entire wall, and a couple of painters were still working on the last few panels when we went to Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, last November.
Except for decorative details like the mural and some sculptures, however, the industrial steel and glass architecture of the airport can make it seem like anywhere in the world. Which is probably reassuring to people who travel a lot.
See murals from around the world in Monday Mural.

Beautiful murals.
I'd much rather have that amazing mural than the steel & glass that I can see anywhere else!
A huge and beautiful mural, I love the different colors!

An interesting combination Hilda. The murals are wonderful.
Very colorful and very beautiful and I'd guess it makes flying just a bit more pleasant!
Tune in tomorrow for the truth about snow in Ocala!
These murals are striking!
It's really stunning!
Beautiful!
What a large mural. Amazing detail work.
Wow, incredibly intricate. I don't know a thing about Thai religious iconography, but the first image looks like it contains heaven, hell, and earth. Is that possible? Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
With all that detail going into the mural it is truly a piece of art.
WOW! I love the detail in this mural...and the colours.
