Little palace

The interior of the Minor Basilica of San Lorenzo Ruiz or the Binondo Church. I wish I knew more about it, like who designed it or if it replicates the interior design of the old church, but I can't find anything about it. All I know for sure is that everything that you see here is post-WWII, unlike the facade and bell tower from the previous post.

I like a lot more inside the church than outside the church. I love how you frame the photo.

It's very pretty and I really like the way they have the flowers arranged on both sides of the aisle!

My goodness, that is gorgeous...more ornate than Catholic churches being built in this country.

Looks like maybe there was a wedding recently, or are those flowers always along the pews?

Great photo, Hilda.

So grand! It reminds me a bit of the elegant and lavish interiors of Catholic churches in Bavaria, Germany or Austria...Have a great weekend. Ciao. A.

Religion is a wonderful thing and most organizations do their best in different ways to entice people to become members and join their church. Your country is mostly Catholic and mine is an assortment almost like a Jack-in-the-Box. Turn the crank and almost anything pops up.

I admire your talent with a camera. This is a stunning photograph.

If you know what the word "gobsmacks" means then you might be aware of what to expect on my new blog by that name.

So lovely, with or without the flowers, but was there going to be a wedding? The interior is amazing with detail. Regarding your story from yesterday, very moving. What a costly faith some have had to demonstrate. I like both the inside and the outside shots!

Jacob, Kim and Léia:
I suspect there was a wedding earlier, but I'm only guessing based on my experience in other churches. I've only visited this church once so I don't know what their practice is.

Ken Mac:
I was referring to the altar decoration with the title. It looks like there's a little palace (or church, as Marc says) inside the church.

Very beautiful! The little windows created a wonderful light, too.

Through architectural arrangement you captured a divine light. Great!

How pretty! The Structure in the altar looks like it was modeled after St. Peter's basilica in Rome, no? Very very pretty shot. I love your blog!
