Dear Hilda! This is gorgeous place - beautiful palms in the reflection! Ribs, steaks - can't go wrong with those :) I would like to pass you an award. Hope you don't have this one already. You can pick it up at my blog. Ellie Vellie
Metro Manila is the largest urban center in the Philippines, composed of seventeen cities and municipalities with about twelve million people. Though I've lived here all my life, I have really just been to a few areas of its teeming 638 square kilometers. This is a photo blog of the Manila that I experience everyday and, occasionally, of other places we go to. I hope you like my Manila. Despite its many flaws, I do.

Be nice please!
All the photos in this blog were taken either by me or my husband. I can't really stop you from using any of these on your own blog or website, but do please acknowledge the source of the image and let me know by leaving a comment or emailing me at happyinmanila2008 at yahoo dot com, and sending me the url of your site. I'd really appreciate it.
Nothing makes me happier than staying at home, curled up in bed with a good book or movie, or puttering around the house, but I can do so only for a few hours every week because I have a full-time, Monday to Saturday job.
I used to use our Canon PowerShot A610 but I find it too bulky to carry in my purse everyday. So in September 2008, I finally got an itsy-bitsy Canon Ixus 80 IS (PowerShot SD1100 IS) which I now bring everywhere. I love it!

Not French, then what?? Don't leave us in suspense ... :)
When I saw the thumbnail on the portal, I thought maybe you were vacationing in France!
Funny!
Does La Maison not simply mean "the home"?
And to think I've been looking for the best steaks all over the U.S. and they've been in the P.I. the whole time. :-)
So how good is the food?
btw nice detective work on the award. I had a feeling it was tagalog and for a moment after I gave it out I hoped it wasn't bad words. :-)
Nice find, very funny sign. I hope it is a good restaurant anyway.
Wait a minute Hilda, maybe when you get their steak you can get "La French Fries." :-)
You're not the only one who thought it was a French restaurant. Is the food any good?

I would have thought the same thing.
No wonder you posted this as an Odd Shot!
tu nous as pas dit si le restaurant "à la maison" était bon"
we've not said if the restaurant "at home" was good
Is the food good? Looks cool!
Cezar
It isn't? I guess the words are a twist of some sort, on reality.
Pick a Peck of Pixels
Maybe it means the home of the steak.
Look's like they are appealing to everybody. Very odd!
Hmmm... La Maison is an odd name for a steakhouse. But I guess if it keeps the customers rolling in, that's all that matters!
They forgot the snails...
French or not, it sounds good to me!
I would think that those looking for a good steakhouse might pass it by thinking of haute cuisine. LOL
Lol that's funny !
Never judge a book by its cover or a restaurant by its sign!
that is peculiar!
I like your angle! So nice:)
so it's local based? i also thought figaro was a foreign owned cafe.
