Ornate

ornate design details of the Chinese pavilions at the Rizal Park The detailed ornamentation of the pavilions in the Chinese Garden of the Rizal Park is amazing. Tiles, woodwork and painting—I cannot even begin to imagine how long it took to finish each structure.

Those who put such things together are truly artists, craftsmen of the highest order.

It is wonderful to have such structures to look at and appreciate.

Too often if we want a pavilion, we throw up a few poles and nail some plywood and shingles down for a roof.

Might be utile, but not very charming!
