Modern elegance

curved stairs at the lobby of Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros, Manila The lobby of The Bayleaf Intramuros isn't quite as stark as my photo the other day makes it seem. That is simply the sight that greets you as soon as you enter the doors. Off to one side of the lobby is this warm and cozy corner with tables and chairs, and a baby grand piano, though no one was playing during the weekend we were there. The lovely curved stairway leads up to the function rooms on the second floor.

This is quite a stunning setting. Modern is always a surprise when it nestles into a traditional setting.

We've read that Manila is having terrible flooding. I hope it's not as bad as the news makes it sound. Stay dry!

Elegant is the only word that comes to mind. Well, that and that you got a perfect exposure.
