More than just pancakes

The first time I ate pancakes from Pancake House sometime in the late 70s or early 80s, I was transported to heaven. They were the fluffiest pancakes I have ever had and I was amazed by the whipped butter they were served with—so easy to spread! I'm not a kid anymore, whipped butter no longer seems miraculous, Pancake House is now owned by a large corporation which owns many other restaurant chains, and when we go to any of their branches, I'm more likely to order a salad than pancakes, but every time I look at the menu, I'm always tempted to order their fluffy cheese or sweet corn pancakes. And sometimes, just every now and then, I give in. And I still think they're the yummiest pancakes in Metro Manila. Pancake House's walls have always been wallpapered with movie posters, which was a delight to me when I was much younger. I also find it comforting that the new owners retained that tradition.

Pancakes were always one of my favorites as a child. I loved going to Granny's house in the summer because she would make pancakes every day if we wanted! And she made them with fresh blueberries. Yummy!! I don't think I could resist the temptation at Pancake House - you can have a salad anywhere!

There's a pancake house that I always enjoyed when I was younger. I don't often go there any longer, but every once in a while I just have to have some of those delicious pancake.

This is a wonderful shot Hilda. I absolutely love pancakes! Sometimes I make them at home for my dinner. I usually overdo it and end up feeling a little queasy, but they are worth it!

Dear Hilda! This post is so cool but does not help me with my diet!I'm hungry now! :-)I bet this House of Pancakes is a really temptation for people who loves it( like myself ) and could be impossible to take just one, I could take five at least! :-)
So...you see, it is just the "reason"why a need a "diet"!
LOL Kidding!
This place seems very cool!
Thanks for sharing!

I see the poster for The Beach! One of my favorite movies. Now I'm hungry for pancakes, too.

It sounds like your kind of place, Hilda. Mine, too, actually. There was a great pancake place in Ft. Lauderdale, but haven't found one yet in Ocala.

Have a great day.

Go on, give in to temptation more often! Great looking place but we want to see pancakes! Now you'll have to have some to take a photo of them. You can say your ordering them for your art :)

Perfect timing Hilda. My wife and I had a romantic breakfast (no kids) together yesterday. It was at the local House of Pancakes. Yum!

When I was a child my late father used to make pancakes every Sunday morning. My brother and I used to tease him by complaining about them. Once he failed to make them, saying that he was not going to make them anymore because all he heard were complaints. Then we complained even more.

We were bratty idiots.

I love eating pancakes. Not fond of making them because I make a complete mess and they never turn out well. I'd be in pancake heaven at the Pancake House.

Never heard of corn pancakes but I think they might be good. No syrup though right?
Cool shot.
